|Here I am, 11 years old in grade 6,
who has gone vegetarian because of you,
who has realized what's really important in life.
Our world would be so much better if we followed your lead,
and stopped wearing, eating and mistreating animals,
and we could just all get along
despite race or language.
And yet... and yet River, we are losing you again.
In my generation, it's always "River who?" or "Who's that?"
The truth is, River, we're forgetting.
We're forgetting not only who you were,
but what you stood for.
So it's up to us now, to keep you alive
the only way we can - by remembering.
