I wish I had known who you were,
but you died after I turned six.
Even though I wouldn't remember it,
I still wish I could have met you.
You are such a kind, thoughtful person,
who thinks about important things before yourself.
I wish you could still be alive, because in many ways
you would have made the world better.
Even though you are not with us,
you still give me hope that everyone has a voice
and they can contribute.
R.I.P River, and remember we will always love you.
