| It was at Stand By Me that River Phoenix caught my eye. The heat to his acting took me to a place I could not explain, and seemed more real than any other actor ever has shown again. He was the only one who seemed to stay true to his beliefs, even through the haze of deception with which he was surrounded. For this, he will always be someone I not only respect, but look up to. I am crushed to have lost his talent, and wonderful spirit, even ten years gone. May his memory live on forever. |
