| My friend and I rented the video of "Running on Empty" the day before he died but we didn't watch it that day. The next day at school, I read in the papers about his death and my entire body went cold. It was unbelievable. My friend and I cried and reported sick. We couldn't bare to watch the tape and returned it. River Phoenix, I loved your acting the day I 'accidentally' watched "Stand By Me". I was a teenager then and I idolised you to the point that when you passed away, it was like losing someone close to me. Although life goes on, you will always be remembered as this wonderful actor that used to make me, as a teenager, sigh... laugh... cry.... Thank you very much for this beautiful website. It brought a lot of memories about River. |
