I just want you to know that when I saw you
in "Stand By Me", I told my mom,
"I want to be just like him when I grow up."
I then started acting, and dreamed that one day
I would star in a movie with you.
Since your death, I have had dreams that maybe
you wanted to be out of the limelight for a while,
and are now with your dad.
I deeply want to believe that when I get out of school,
you will be back in Hollywood, making pictures,
and my dream of being in the movies with you will come true.
I can always dream, River.
I mourn your death more every year, and one day,
I hope to see you again.
