"I took a couple of improvizational courses when I was about ten years old, and that was just to get out of myself. I was really shy and timid. Our exercises were things like "Pretend that you are a washing machine - what kind of sounds would you make?" and then we'd race back and forth and gurgle. It wasn't really anything having to do with technique or anything. I've developed all that through experience."
