Rio's Attic: Celebrating the Life and Times of a Dearly Missed River Phoenix

October 31, 1998

To Whom it Concerns,

I have no idea who you are but I am so thankful for you. I'm a 17 year old girl who has loved River Phoenix for many years and was crushed by his death. Since I was only 12 at the time of his death I didn't understand much about him and I didn't understand why he had to leave. Now in 1998 I am still spellbound by the work he did in his short life and I am always searching for more about him.

In my Media class we had to research an actor or actress and make a scrapbook about them. I chose to do mine on River Phoenix. I would just like to thank you so much for making such a great tribute on him. I have been looking for some time for information on him and most of the stuff I found was useless uninteresting stuff. I have been on your page for three hours now reading every article, every quote, seeing every picture and I would just like to say thanks. I don't think I could ever pass this project without your help. Not only did I get lots of information, but I also found out so much more about him than I ever thought I could.

Now on this day, the anniversary of his death, I am looking back at his life and what he has done for the world, and I am frozen with grief and sadness, but also thankful that it could have been brought to me.

Thank you River, and thank you to you, the people who have made this amazing tribute.
