Furry Friends
Wild animals such as beavers and foxes, domestic animals such as cats and dogs, it doesn't matter what species - if it's got fur then the fashion and clothing industries can "make use" of it. Every year, over eight million such animals are killed and skinned in the United States alone.

A wild animal caught in a trap will not give up without a struggle - there are numerous reports of these animals, trapped for several days, resort to gnawing off their own legs or paws in an attempt to escape. It doesn't do any good though, the animals that do escape in this way die shortly afterwards of massive blood loss or gangrene infection.

No federal laws exist to protect the welfare of fur-bearing animals in purpose-built "fur-farms". As a result, the animals live there in miserable conditions and are subjected to the most barbaric killing methods imaginable.
