Wow, it's been a long time River, and though I still light a candle for you, it just doesn't seem to be enough. Watching your movies helps to remember your face, but it doesn't make it easier. I often find myself daydreaming and imagining you in the next great movie, then what seemed unreal becomes real again. I miss you so much, you were a part of me, even though you didn't know it. I wrote a poem from a quote you once said, and I would like to leave it with you. |
that's all no more,
and forever our souls will live,
but our bodies will rot to the core.
We are but food for worms;
filling a time and space,
doing what we must do,
then waiting for the moment
when it comes,
for us to die.
